Mutant Movement / DJ Dakeyne : Eight Zero Special – Club

Eight Zero is exactly what you’d expect, a celebration of the music made in the 1980s with a biased persuasion towards all things electronic.

Mutant Movement invites you to join us after the live show from Black Celebration & A Little Respect for the best 80s night you’re ever gonna be a part of right up until 2am at the iconic 80s Leeds nightclub, The Warehouse. If you grew up close to Leeds, chances are you will have been to this venue sometime in the last 43 years.

Starting with disco in 1979, virtually every live band before they were famous and all those who kept their alternative underground status, many becoming icons of their genre. Towards the end of the 1980s, it was the club to go to for the biggest house DJs including Sasha & the Hacienda’s Park & Pickering to name a few.

“Who is behind Eight Zero?”, you may ask… DJ Dakeyne is the answer! With regular shows on Twitch, Paul Dakeyne covers every genre out there, just as he has in his career as Remixer and his Megamix recordings for D.M.C. (Disco Mix Club) so you’re bound to have heard some of his work since his first mix in 1985.

If you haven’t been to any of Gary’s Mutant Movement events, or Paul’s nights whilst DJing for Ministry Of Sound, including touring with the likes of U2, then this is a great first chance for you.
