Shine have brilliantly, done it again…

It’s been a while since Shine has returned with what they do best, pulling together outstanding line ups, they proudly pride themselves on & the only club where this magic happens for them is at the most iconic & sought after venue, established in 1979, Leeds Warehouse.

Shine’s philosophy is timing, given the current climate, especially after lockdown & also Leeds giving birth to another welcomed music spot, this time an open air facility, five thousand capacity Canvas Yard. Presenting house music shows in Holbeck just outside the city centre.

Off the back of that, Inevitably the city revitalises it’s much needed house nights, back onto an healthy scene, something that’s a very familiar territory for the city of Leeds, with that & in his comfort zone Michael Patrick Reilly relaunches Shine with it’s 12th Birthday @ The Warehouse this coming September – Sat 2/9/23

So for Club Together Records/Events an opportunity arose to merge some fresh & exciting ideas under one roof, delivering knockout line ups impacting Leeds with a club vibe that’s strikingly different for Shine across the three rooms at The Warehouse.

So without further ado, please give a warm welcome to BBC Radio 1 legend, the man behind the original acid house ‘smiley face’ & also his ‘Shoom’ house nights, DJ/Producer, the man himself Danny Rampling alongside another DJ/Producer Nicky Holloway, both 1986/87 pioneers of Ibiza. Growing out of their Balearic & rare groove, soul vibe into what’s still now known as that strong London house music scene.

Also from that very same scene, DJing on the bill Shine regular, is CJ Mackintosh the man behind the original UK house track, 1987’s chart topper ‘Pump Up The Volume’ plus Inner City’s ‘Good Life’ remix amongst many more.

Then ‘Junior Boys Own’s… ‘Heller & Farley’s’ Pete Heller himself, is in attendance with skills which have taken his responsibilities over many productions down the years. Including a much sought after monster hit, the constantly remixed classic, Heller’s original ‘Big Love’.

Completing the main room line up, further up the bill, proudly presenting US born Italian, flying in from New York purposely for Shine, with his own twist adding a US house spin onto a UK sound, comes Victor Simonelli another skillset with a lengthy DJ producing career, which includes tracks such as ‘Do You Feel Me’ & his Groove Committee number ‘I Want You To Know’.

The main room element now presents an old school classic house feel plus that full bill of headliners bring their current material too, adding Shine’s new found freshness.

And as per usual Shine resident Garry Dabill kicks off main room proceedings with his old school classic house sound, which has an elegant feel pulling off a cool underground style.

To be mirrored upstairs in The Loft by guest headliner Richard Gill (standing in for Mark Alexander) alongside Shine’s proud residents Graham Dixon & Mark Holliday. All four residents strictly keeping the old school classic house theme going in the way that Shine only presents it best.

However in The Garage comes a whole new story of magical excitement. Firstly, Becka, a vocalist on Club Together Music record label, sparks the night up by singing her ‘Love Enough’ track. Set for release on Monoside Records in June by Italian DJ/Producer Angelo Ferreri who is flying in from Italy to DJ, spinning while Becka performs exclusively in the UK at Shine’s 12th Birthday for their special guest host Club Together ‘Love Enough’, however the beauty of the track is its heavily sampled from Hellers ‘Big Love’ number. Wow, what an incredible headline show that’s going to be.

Lending main support will be special guest Groove Assassin, spinning his cool feel good upfront house sound, featuring in his set ‘Hallelujah In Heaven’ a production by him due for release in June.

He’ll also be joined by Club Together residents Good2Groove & Nathan Ward showcasing the bill with a theme of soulful current house tracks from Club Together Music record label being Shines perfect host.
